Maaløy Seafood supplies us with high quality pelagic fish from the big fishing areas. Herring, which this year is the biggest item with a quota of 1.000.000 tons, we sypply from September to middle of February. The mackerel season is short and starts in August and ends normally in October (190.000 tons). The Norwegian horse mackerel fishery is very uncertain and without any quota. The main season is October/November.
